How do I receive supports from IA?
You need to apply for funding through your local government. Right now, we are only able to accept referrals from government funders.
What does government funding cover?
That depends on the funder. Some funders will provide funding for costs related to living while others only fund staffing dollars.
What is Room and Board?
Room and Board is a snazzy name for a monthly budgeted amount we help you manage. We assist with paying rent, utilities, etc. Remember that most funders only pay for staffing, not living costs. Programs like AISH can help you with monthly income support.
What type of business is IA?
IA is a privately owned and operated business that has held contracts with provincial and territorial governments since 1991. IA was started in Edmonton and is proudly Canadian/Albertan.
What type of accreditation does IA have?
IA is accredited through the ACDS Creating Excellence Together (CET) accreditation program. This program is the recognized benchmark in the Community Disability Services industry. CET addresses aspects of life that are important to Albertans with developmental disabilities who need to access quality services.
